CNC Machine Operative - Temp to Perm Opportunity
Location: Sheffield
Days Pay Rate: £14.04 per hour
Nights Pay Rate: £18.25 per hour
Shifts:
Days: Monday to Thursday, 07:00 - 17:00
Nights: Monday to Thursday, 21:00 - 07:00We are currently recruiting for an experienced CNC Machine Operative to join a busy and well-established machine shop in Sheffield. This is a temporary-to-permanent opportunity, offering long-term stability and progression.
You will be working on the machining of centrifugally spun castings for specialist sectors such as aerospace and power generation, using a variety of stainless steel alloys.
Key Responsibilities:
Operating CNC machines to produce components to precise tolerances
Experience in CNC programming, milling, and turning is essential
Interpreting and working from engineering drawings
Performing visual inspections of finished parts to ensure quality standards
Supporting the wider production team as needed
Following health & safety procedures and maintaining a clean work area
Candidate Requirements:
Proven experience as a CNC machine operative, including programming, milling, and turning
Strong understanding of engineering drawings and tolerances
Minimum 3 years' experience in a manufacturing environment
High attention to detail with a focus on quality
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Flexible with working hours, including nights and overtime
Good understanding of health & safety and quality procedures
