The Role
Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an experienced CNC Machinist to join their machine shop. This is a hands-on role involving the programming, setting and operation of CNC machine tools, manufacturing precision components to engineering drawings within a low-volume, high-quality production environment.
This will be on a double day shift pattern.
Key Responsibilities
* Program, set and operate CNC milling or turning machines.
* Manufacture precision components to engineering drawings and tight tolerances.
* Produce low-volume, high-quality machined parts.
* Manufacture and modify jigs, fixtures and tooling.
* Carry out first-off and in-process inspection using precision measuring equipment.
* Read and interpret engineering drawings.
* Record production activity using the company's ERP system.
* Work to production schedules and agreed machining times.
* Support Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Maintain high standards of quality, housekeeping and health & safety.
The Candidate
Previous experience programming, setting and operating CNC milling or turning machines.
A strong precision engineering background.
Experience working to tight tolerances from engineering drawings.
Good knowledge of inspection techniques using measuring equipment.
A proactive attitude with excellent attention to detail.
Experience within low-volume, high-precision manufacturing.
