Job Opportunity: CNC Machinist
Full-Time | Thanet | Monday to Friday | £14-£16 per hour
We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable CNC Machinist. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and precise production of components across a wide range of products and materials. The work will include both one-off custom parts and batch production, with varied tolerances.
We're looking for someone with strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a responsible attitude toward safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities (subject to experience):
Set up, run, and monitor CNC lathes and/or milling machines.
Perform regular checks to monitor Machine Shop efficiency and output.
Conduct visual and functional pre-use checks on equipment.
Maintain a clean and organised work area throughout the manufacturing process.
Inspect finished work pieces to ensure conformance to drawings and specifications.
Accurately record work activities and production details.
Qualifications & Skills:
Proven experience operating CNC machinery, particularly lathes and/or milling machines.
Proficient in using CNC tooling and precision measurement instruments.
Comfortable working in both metric and imperial units.
Strong understanding of technical drawings and manufacturing data.
Excellent attention to detail and a quality-driven mindset.
Good communication skills and a proactive work ethic.
