Job Type: Permanent
Salary: £44,000.00 + Overtime (OTE up to £50,000+)
Are you a skilled CNC Machinist with a background in milling? Looking for a stable, long-term role with excellent earning potential?
Our client, a global leader in high-spec manufacturing, is seeking experienced CNC Milling Machinists to join their growing team in Rochdale. With a strong pipeline of work and long-term contracts, this is a fantastic opportunity to work on precision-engineered components in a clean, well-equipped facility.
Shift Options and Premiums:
• Early Shift (06:00 – 14:15): +20% (£20.71/hr)
• Late Shift (14:00 – 22:15): +30% (£22.48/hr)
• Night Shift (22:00 – 06:15): +40% (£24.16/hr)
Overtime Rates:
• Monday–Friday: 1.33x
• Saturday: 1.5x
• Sunday: 2x
• 1.5x rate applies if 10+ hours of overtime are worked between Monday–Saturday
Key Responsibilities:
• Set and operate CNC milling machines to produce precision components
• Interpret and work from engineering drawings
• Edit or write CNC programs (Fanuc and/or Heidenhain controls)
• Carry out basic manual machining (milling/turning) when required
• Maintain excellent standards of accuracy and finish
• Support junior team members with training and guidance
• Adhere to all health and safety and quality control procedures
Requirements:
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering (or completed apprenticeship)
• Solid experience operating CNC milling machines
• Confident working with Fanuc and/or Heidenhain controls
• Ability to edit or create CNC programs
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality
• Flexible to work shifts and overtime when required
