Job Description
CNC Composite Machinist
Bristol
£26.77 per hour + great overtime rates
3 on 4 off nights
We are looking for experienced CNC Machinists to join a leading global manufacturer within the aerospace sector. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-respected company offering long-term contracts, ongoing training and development, and varied work on both metallic and composite components.
The role is suited to candidates with CNC machining experience — ideally with the ability to set and operate CNC machines. Previous experience with Fanuc or Siemens controls and 4/5 Axis machining is highly desirable.
The Role:
*Manufacture, machine, measure and test aircraft components from composite or metallic materials
*Operate and set CNC machines (including 5 Axis Zimmerman drilling machines, CNC routers and gantry fettling machines)
*Work from engineering drawings and customer specifications
*Ensure all work is completed to high quality standards
*Follow health & safety and quality assurance procedures
The Person:
*Experienced CNC Machinist (metallic and/or composite materials)
*Competent in operating, and setting CNC machinery
*Skilled at reading and interpreting engineering drawings
*Experience with Fanuc and Siemens machines (4 & 5 Axis)
*Time-served apprenticeship or equivalent (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds Level 3, or international equivalent with English translation)
