Location: Huddersfield
Salary: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
Job Type: Perm
Work Hours: Full-time, 7:30am-4pm Mon to Thurs & 7:30am-1pm Fri
We're working with a well-established manufacturer based in Huddersfield who are looking to bring on an experienced CNC Miller to join their expanding team. The successful candidate will be a fully skilled engineer, experienced programmer, setter and operator.
Job Responsibilities:
Set up and operate CNC machines to perform precision machining operations
Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to determine machining operations
Select and install cutting tools, tool holders, fixtures, and work holding devices
Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and adherence to specifications
Make adjustments to machine settings as necessary to maintain product quality
Inspect finished products for accuracy
Troubleshoot and resolve issues with machine performance or product quality
Preferable but not essential able to work Mazak for turning
Predominantly will be working between the two following machines: Scharmann Twin Pallet Horizontal and Depo 1212
Person Requirements:
Previous experience as a CNC Miller or similar role
Proficient to perform basic math calculations
Familiarity with tooling, power tools, and hand tools used in machining operations
Proficiency in SolidWorks and CAD software for reading and interpreting technical drawings (beneficial)
Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of machining principles
