THE OPPORTUNITY
Are you looking to work on a variety and interesting projects within a world renowned and highly respected engineering business? Are you a CNC Miller with medium to heavy interested experience, looking to advance your skillset? Well, read on!!
My client is at the forefront of engineering and responsible for delivering high-specification items to the oil & gas, nuclear and energy projects. Due to continued business growth, they are looking to strengthen their manufacturing team with experienced CNC Millers.
The CNC Millers will be based at their manufacturing plant in Manchester. The role is to safely set and operate CNC machinery producing high standard machined components to the correct tolerances.
SHIFT PATTERN
Week 1 – Monday to Friday (06:00 – 14:00).
Week 2 - Monday to Thursday (13:45 – 22:15) & Friday is 13:00 – 18:30.
YOUR ROLE
The CNC Milers will:
* Understand and follow basic engineering diagrams and drawings.
* Assist and set up machines ensuring best machining practices are adopted and followed.
* Safely load and unload machine components on and off machines.
* Machining of products to conform to correct drawing tolerances.
* Must be able to work rotating shift patterns.
* Able to work more than once machine at a time.
* Carry out regular machine maintenance as required.
* Maintain high standard of house- keeping on and around machinery operated.
* Continually monitor machining operations.
* Ensure manufacturing times are achieved.
* Check finished work pieces to ensure that they meet the required quality standards.
ABOUT YOU
The CNC Millers will be:
* Experienced apprentice trained CNC Machinist.
* Previously worked in medium to heavy engineering.
* Good problem-solving skills.
* Good communicator.
* Able to work as part of a TEAM.
* Health & Safety experience in a machine shop environment.
