Job Description
NexGen Consultancy are currently recruiting for a CNC Miller (Setter/Operator) to join a well established precision engineering manufacturer located in Draycott, Derbyshire.
Our market leading client are a manufacturer of advanced automation systems — including cutters, butterers, depositors, conveyors, and more — designed to improve hygiene, boost efficiency and streamline operations across the food industry.
The successful candidate will be capable of setting and running machining centres to produce quality parts to specification checking their own work using a variety of measuring equipment Working within their fast-paced workshop, your role will see you setting Haas Machining Centres and running off parts to a high quality.
Main Responsibilities:
* Interpreting technical drawings to produce parts to the drawing specification
* Where necessary running multiple machines when on running jobs
* Working on small batches of high-quality parts with a right first-time attitude
* Able and willing to look at processes to improve productivity where possible to accelerate output within the company
Qualifications and Skills:
Essential Skills and Experience
* Experience in setting and operating CNC machining centres
* Reading and interpreting drawings
* Self-inspecting work
* Use of Haas control
Desirable Skills and Experience
* Use of Hass Milling Machines (VF3/VF4)
* Fanuc controls
* Knowledge of G-Code programming
* Mastercam
