Job Description
CNC Miller – Programmer / Setter / Operator
Salary: Competitive hourly rate + overtime + benefits (DOE)
Hours: optional hours between 39–45 hrs per week, day shift
My client are a private precision firm that designs and manufactures high-spec tooling, fixturing and complex machined parts. Their client base stretches from innovative start-ups to blue-chip names in aerospace, motorsport, agriculture and machine-tool OEMs. Recent investment in an additional 5-axis machining centre has expanded their capacity for larger, high-value parts.

The Role
*
Program, set and operate 3- to 5-axis milling centres (Hurco, or Leadwell, or Doosan).
*
Produce low-volume, high-complexity parts to tight tolerances in a clean, well-equipped environment.
*
Interpret drawings/3-D models and select optimal tooling, work-holding and machining strategies.
*
Inspect your own work and contribute to continuous improvement.
*
Work closely with engineering to optimise cycle times and quality.
Role Reqs
*
Proven experience setting and operating CNC milling machines.
*
Confident in either conversational or offline programming, ideally FANUC); full training given to skilled setters/operators who want to step up to programming.
*
Ability to read technical drawings and use measuring equipment.
*
Right to work in the UK.
Desirable
