Job Description
CNC Machinist, Permanent Role, Glasgow
Salary:
* Day Shift: £19.50 – £19.70 per hour (Monday to Friday)
* Night Shift: £25.35 – £25.61 per hour (8:45pm – 7:00am)
* Overtime and shift premiums available
Working Hours:
* Day Shift: Monday to Friday, with flexible 4-day and 5-day working patterns (to be agreed)
* Night Shift: Rotational nightshift included
Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join our team on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Fanuc-controlled machines and be comfortable working across both day and night shifts.
You will be responsible for producing high-quality components from customer drawings, adhering to specified cycle times, and maintaining a high standard of production efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manufacture right-first-time components in line with customer drawings and required cycle times
* Ensure production remains cost-effective and efficient
* Continuously seek improvements to production and manufacturing methods
* Liaise effectively with team members and other departments
* Adhere to all Health & Safety and Environmental standards
Essential Experience & Qualities:
* Proven experience operating Fanuc-controlled machinery
* Skilled in working with 5-axis, vertical, and horizontal milling machines
* Strong communication skills across all levels of the business
* A proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and develop
Desirable Experience:
* Knowledge of SPC (Statistical Process Control) and Lean Manufacturing principles
* Competent with basic PC skills
