Job Description
Location: AIR Wakefield
Nights Monday to Thursday 6pm – 6am (25% night rate uplift)
Overview:
The CNC Miller Programmer Setter Operator will be required to set up and operate / programme Haas machining centres to produce specific component parts to varying tolerances. Interesting and varied work.
Key Responsibilities:
* Working on HAAS 3 axis vertical machining centres from VF2 to VF9
* Produce component parts in tolerance of drawing specification
* Keep a clean and manageable working area
* Undertake additional responsibilities and tasks as required
Qualifications
* Minimum City & Guilds Mechanical Engineering relevant discipline (Desirable)
Key Skills & Abilities:
* Competent and confident in setting, programming and operating HAAS milling machines. Programme experience would be advantageous
* The ability to use relevant inspection measuring equipment
* Able to read and interpret engineering drawings
* Produce component parts in tolerance of drawing specification
* General awareness of health and safety issues
* Team player and ability to work on own initiative
* Attention to detail
* 4th and 5th axis knowledge advantageous
