CNC Milling Programmer / Machinist – 4-Day Week | £17.50 - £18.50 per hour | Preston
Are you an experienced CNC Machinist looking for a role that actually respects your time and rewards your skills?
We’re partnering with a well-established and forward-thinking engineering company in Preston who are all about quality in their products and how they treat their people.
They’re now looking for a talented CNC Milling Programmer to join their team.
About the Role:
You’ll be working hands-on with CNC Milling machines, programming with Heidenhaincontrols, and producing high-precision components. You’ll have the autonomy to take ownership of your work, from programming to inspection in a role that values quality, safety, and teamwork.
What You’ll Need:
*
A completed apprenticeship or 5+ years’ experience in CNC machining due to the technical nature of the role
*
Strong skills in programming and setting CNC Milling machines
*
Experience with Heidenhain controls
*
Bonus if you’ve used Autodesk Fusion 360 or other CAD/CAM software
*
Ability to confidently read and interpret engineering drawings and tolerances
*
A meticulous approach to first-off and self-inspection
*
A team player mindset with a proactive attitude
Here’s What’s on Offer:

Top-tier pay – £17.50 – £18.50 per hour, depending on experience

3-day weekends, every week – 4-day working week, Monday to Thursday (06:45 – 17:00)
