Job Description
Job Title: CNC Miller – Setter/operator
Hours: Rotating shifts: mornings, afternoons, and nights - 39 hours per week
Salary: £17ph - £20 per this is including shift allowance
Job Purpose:
To set and operate multiple CNC milling machines within the Specials cell, ensuring the production of high-quality, complex tooling components. The role requires a focus on precision, efficiency, and adherence to engineering specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
*
Set and operate CNC milling machines to produce complex tooling to a high standard.
*
Work from technical drawings to ensure dimensional accuracy and product integrity.
*
Inspect components using precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, vernier calipers, and gauges to maintain excellent quality standards.
*
Operate within tight tolerances and ensure consistent part quality throughout production.
*
Maintain flexibility to meet changing production needs and priorities.
*
Ensure daily throughput targets are achieved while minimizing scrap and non-conformance reports (NCRs).
*
Support business goals by adapting to growth and changes in production demands.
Essential Skills & Experience:
*
Minimum of 3 years’ CNC milling experience.
*
Strong background in CNC milling operations, including experience with Mori Seiki and Haas machines (preferred).
*
Solid understanding of Fanuc control systems.
*
Proven ability to set and operate CNC machines; programming experience is a plus.
*
Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
*
Skilled in working to tight tolerances.
*
Competent in using a variety of inspection and measurement tools.
*
Reliable team player with a flexible and proactive approach to work.
