Job Description

JRS Associates have partnered up with an established precision engineering business in Leeds to recruit an experienced CNC Miller - Setter, Operator, Programmer for a permanent back-shift position.
This role sits within a high-quality machining environment producing tight-tolerance components for demanding engineering sectors, offering strong earning potential and long-term stability.
The Successful CNC Miller - Setter, Operator, Programmer – Package:
  * 
    £18.40 – £20.70 per hour (including 15% back-shift allowance, DOE)
  * 
    Back Shift: 14:00 – 00:00, Monday to Thursday
  * 
    Permanent fixed shift (no rotation)
  * 
    24 days holiday inclusive of statutory
  * 
    Very rewarding bonus structure
  * 
    Plenty of overtime available, paid at x1.33
  *

The Successful CNC Miller - Setter, Operator, Programmer – Requirements:
  * 
    Programming, setting, and operating CNC milling machines using Fanuc controls
  * 
    Manual Guide i and Macro experience advantageous but not essential
  * 
    Experience working within a precision engineering environment, holding tight tolerances
  * 
    Producing small-batch, high-accuracy components
  * 
    Machining a variety of materials including steel, aluminium, and exotic alloys
  * 
    Confident interpretation of engineering drawings
  * 
    Strong attention to detail with a quality-driven mindset
  * 
    Familiarity with precision measuring equipment and CMM inspection
  * 
    Positive attitude with a strong work ethic and team focus
  * 
    Keen approach to continuous improvement and personal development
The Successful CNC Miller - Setter, Operator, Programmer - Preferred Experience (Not Essential):
  * 
    Offline programming using Hypermill or similar CAM systems
  * 
    Experience with 5-axis or Mill/Turn machining
  * 
    Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles
