CNC Turner Setter Operator & CNC Miller Setter Operator - Aerospace
Location: South West UK (On-site)
Salary: £30,000 - £36,000 + benefits
I'm currently supporting a leading aerospace precision engineering company who are looking for CNC Setter Operators (both Turning and Milling) to join their growing team. These are full-time, permanent positions offering excellent job security and development opportunities.
The Role:
For CNC Turning: Set and operate CNC lathes with Fanuc controls.
For CNC Milling: Set and operate 3/4/5 axis CNC milling machines with Heidenhain controls.
Produce high-complexity aerospace components to tight tolerances across a variety of materials.
Ensure parts meet quality and customer specifications at all times.
Work to planned set/run times and support continuous improvement.
Use a range of manual inspection tools (micrometers, verniers, plug gauges) to check work.
Ensure all route cards, drawings, and materials are followed correctly.
Participate in SQDCP and progress meetings, contributing to quality and process improvements.
Support delivery schedule adherence, ensuring work is completed on time and in full.What You'll Need:
Experience setting and operating CNC machines (Turning with Fanuc / Milling with Heidenhain).
Strong background in producing complex precision components.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and work to tight tolerances.
Hands-on inspection skills using micrometers, verniers, and other measuring tools.
Good understanding of quality standards within precision/aerospace engineering.
Aerospace experience (desirable but not essential). Hours & Benefits:
37 hours per week (Mon-Thu 07:30-16:00, Fri 07:30-12:30).
