CNC Milling Machinist
Location: Havant, Hampshire
Contract: Permanent
Working pattern: Fully onsite
An innovative engineering organisation operating within the marine and defence sectors is seeking an experienced CNC Milling Machinist to join their growing team.
Role Overview:
You'll be responsible for producing high-quality machined components, maintaining safety and quality standards, and supporting continuous improvement across the shop floor.
Key Responsibilities:
* CNC milling with a hands-on approach
* Heidenhain programming
* Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
* Maintaining quality and 5S standards
* Working flexibly across machining disciplines when required
Candidate Requirements:
* Apprentice trained (preferred)
* 5+ years CNC machining & programming experience
* Heidenhain/ Mazak experience
* Knowledge of milling & turning techniques
* Experience working with materials such as Inconel, stainless steel, cast iron
* Understanding of Lean / 7 wastes / 5S
Desirable:
* Experience with composite materials
* Knowledge of modern cutting tools
