CNC Programmer/Setter/Operator/Miller
Location: Surrey
Type: Permanent
Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum
Are you an experienced CNC Programmer/Setter/Operator or Miller looking for your next challenge in a high-precision environment?
We're working with a well-established engineering company based in Surrey that is expanding its Machine Shop team.
The Role
As a CNC Milling Programmer/Setter/Operator, you will be responsible for:
Programming 3, 4, and 5 axis CNC milling machines using Fanuc and Sinumerik controls
Creating and refining offline programs using EDGECAM
Setting up machines and producing first-off components to tight tolerances
Producing clear, accurate machine set-up documentation
Staying current with advancements in tooling and machining techniques
Working closely with engineering, production, and quality teams to support continuous improvement
Mentoring new staff and maintaining a safe, clean working environmentKey Requirements
Proven experience programming, setting, and operating CNC milling machines
Strong knowledge of Fanuc and Sinumerik controls
Experience with offline programming via EDGECAM
Ability to work on 3, 4, and preferably 5 axis machines
Confident in reading engineering drawings and using precision measuring equipment
Methodical, self-motivated, and able to meet deadlinesDesirable Qualifications
