Job Description
Our client based in Haslingden is looking to recruit a CNC Press Brake / CNC Punch Operator on a temporary to permanent basis.
Duties will include:
* To do a daily start up and shut down of the machine
* Working with sheet metal, dealing with a variety of products and materials
* To produce fault free products
* Maintaining a tidy and organised department.
* Work in accordance with company processes and procedures.
* To check job paperwork and liaise with the Drawing department for tooling/program issues
* Meeting production demands and targets.
* To record sheet usage against scrap/waste
* Ensuring quality and high standards are constantly met.
* Good visual inspection skills, with the ability to read engineering drawings is desirable.
* Assemble component parts prior to subsequent operations.
* Ensure assigned work is understood prior to commencing
* Carry out any lawful instruction by a member of the Management team.
KPI’s:
* Excellent interpersonal skills
* High level of attention to detail and accuracy is paramount.
* Excellent numeracy skills
* Ability to communicate at all levels either face to face or in writing.
* Working knowledge of CNC machinery
* Trumpf Punch experience
* Excellent work planning and organisational skills
* Ability to meet deadlines.
The normal hours of work are from 8am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday, with a 30 minute unpaid break for lunch, and a morning and afternoon break as agreed from time to time. These hours,40 per week will be the normal hours of work unless otherwise agreed between you and the Company.
Holidays are 33 per year including Bank Holidays.
