Job Description
Due to continued investment and growth, we're representing a precision engineering company with an immediate vacancy for an experienced CNC Programmer. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for a skilled individual with a strong background in multi-axis programming across both CNC Turning and Milling.
The Role:
Reporting directly to the Production and/or General Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
*
Programming CNC machinery using both software and manual methods.
*
Creating accurate, efficient programs and detailed tooling sheets prior to production.
*
Maintaining a revision-controlled CNC program database aligned with current drawings.
*
Working closely with tooling suppliers to identify and maintain optimal tooling solutions.
*
Designing jigs and fixtures to support the manufacturing process.
*
Providing hands-on engineering support for first-offs and production runs.
*
Actively promoting and adhering to the company’s Health & Safety standards.
The Ideal Candidate:
We’re looking for a driven and self-sufficient CNC professional who brings:
*
A minimum of 5 years' hands-on experience with Fanuc controls.
*
Proven experience in live tooling, Y-axis turning, and polar milling.
*
Strong knowledge of 3, 4, and 5-axis milling programming.
*
Solid troubleshooting skills for CNC machining challenges.
*
Expert understanding of cutting tool strategies and machining high-temperature alloys.
*
A proactive approach to quality, process control, and continuous improvement.
*
A dependable, honest, and collaborative attitude, with a passion for precision engineering.
