Job Description
We are looking to strengthen our team with the addition of a CNC Machinist. This is a permanent position on the early shift (6-2.30pm and 6-12pm Monday to Friday)
The rate of pay is between £17 and £19 per hour depending upon experience
We are looking to start the successful candidate at soon as possible, working at our excellent facilities in Burnley
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
* Complete all setups and efficiently run 2,3 and 4 axis CNC machines
* Working from engineering drawings and customer specifications to create precision components
* Capable of interpreting complex engineering drawings
* Identify processes improvements and communicate effectively
* Must be able to operate multiple machines when required
* To check components in process to ensure they are correct.
* Follow routings/guidelines
* Report any issues and defects to the engineering department
* Follow all Company processes and procedures at all times
* Adhere to quality standards and processes for all parts created on your machines.
* Perform daily routine maintenance checks on machines
* Ensure PPE is worn at all times when operating machinery
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR:
* Time Served and Apprentice trained is desired
* Minimum of 5+ years’ experience setting up and operating CNC
* Programming experience is advantageous
* Experience working with various materials
* Good problem solving skills and an eye for detail
* Must be able to read and understand machine programs
* Strong communication skills
* Able to work from verbal and/or written instructions with minimum supervision
* Able to work around various coolants, oils and common machine shop chemicals
WHAT YOU WILL GET IN RETURN:
* Permanent position
* 6am till 2.30pm Monday to Thursday and 6am till 12pm on Friday
* Standard 40 hour week
* Rate is £17-19 per hour depending upon experience
