Job Description
Contek are working with a client in Burnley who specialise in the supply of tooling consumables, engineering and high end machinery for automating production in both.
Through growth they are seeking an experienced engineer to join the team on a permanent basis.
Standard hours are 7:30am to 4:30pm, Monday to Thursday, with a 2:30pm finish on Fridays. They offer 25 days holiday plus bank holidays. Overtime may be available during peak periods
* Operating machinery (e.g., CNC routers, saws and other equipment)
* Programming machines using Alphacam (CAD/CAM software) – experience in Alphacam is not essential but definitely a big plus!
* Running both five-axis and three-axis routers
* Manufacture of all sorts of different plastics from use of routers, mainly for the conveyor industry
* Assembling components and quality-checking products
* Supporting general manufacturing tasks as needed
* Stock Management & Warehousing
* Dispatch and Carriage planning
The right candidate will have:
* Manufacturing experience (preferred)
* A proactive attitude and willingness to learn new skills
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team
