Job Description
CNC Sliding Head Setter Operator - Night Shift
An established precision engineering company is seeking an experienced CNC Sliding Head Setter Operator to join their team on the night shift. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled individual with a strong background in setting and operating CNC sliding head machines, particularly those with experience in both guide bush and non-guide bush setups.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up and operate CNC sliding head machines, including bar feed and tooling.
Confidently set repeat jobs to meet quality control standards.
Make program amendments for continuous improvement.
Program new components from 2D drawings, including:
Internal and external turning
End working (milling/drilling)
Cross working
Change tooling as required and ensure machines are safely set to run unattended for extended periods.Desirable Skills:
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Experience with program editing and creation.
Strong understanding of quality control processes.
Proactive approach to continuous improvement.Shift Pattern:
Nights: Monday to Thursday, 20:00 - 06:00Before You Apply
