Job Description
We are seeking a skilled CNC Setter to join a precision engineering company in Cannock. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, testing, and implementing programmes for CNC machines to produce high-quality components. This role requires a strong understanding of fabrication processes, mechanical knowledge,
The Job Role
* Set up CNC machines, including selecting appropriate tooling and materials handling procedures.
* Interpret technical drawings and specifications to produce accurate programmes aligned with project requirements.
* Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC equipment, including milling machines and other programmable logic controllers.
* Collaborate with the manufacturing team to ensure efficient workflow, quality standards, and adherence to safety protocols.
* Conduct inspections of machined parts to verify dimensions and tolerances using hand tools and measurement devices.
* Maintain detailed documentation of programmes, modifications, and machine settings for future reference.
Experience/Requirements
* Proven experience in CNC Milling
* Fanuc control knowledge is essential
* Knowledge of Leadwell machine is advantageous
* Mechanical knowledge of materials handling, tooling selection, and machining processes.
* Ability to perform basic math calculations relevant to machining tolerances and measurements.
* Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in programme development and machine setup.
* Good communication skills.
The Package
* Temporary to permanent position, could be permanent straight away.
* Working hours 7:00- 15:30 Monday to Thursday, early finish on a Friday.
* Salary of £15 - £16 per hour D.O.E
