About the Role
A well-established precision engineering manufacturer in Weymouth is expanding its team and seeking an experienced CNC Setter/Operator. This is an excellent opportunity to join a business with a strong long-term order book and a commitment to high-quality, low-medium batch production.
Key Responsibilities
Setting and operating CNC Milling or Turning machines
Working with Fanuc or Heidenhain controls (experience preferred but not essential)
Ensuring components meet tight tolerances and quality standards
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
Carrying out basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting
Maintaining a safe, clean, and organised working environment
Working closely with Production and Quality teams to achieve deadlines
Ideal Candidate
You'll be an experienced CNC Machinist with a hands-on approach who enjoys working in a fast-paced precision engineering environment.
Essential Requirements
Skilled CNC Milling or Turning experience
Ability to set and operate CNC machines confidently
Ability to read and understand technical/engineering drawings
Good attention to detail and a strong quality mindset
Strong problem-solving skills
Self-motivated with a professional attitude
Desirable
Experience with Heidenhain (Milling) or Fanuc (Turning/Milling)
Background in Aerospace, Defence, Medical, or similar precision fields
Experience working with low to medium batch production
Hours
Minimum 39 hours per week:
Monday to Thursday: 8am - 4pm
