Job Description
CNC Turner / CNC Miller – £17.00–£18.50 per hour + Overtime | 4-Day Week | Preston Area
We’re currently looking for an experienced CNC Turner / CNC Miller to join a growing engineering business offering a 4-day working week, excellent rates, and a great team environment.
About You:
* Time-served engineer (Apprenticeship or minimum 3 years' experience as a CNC Turner)
* Confident in programming and setting CNC lathes
* Experience with XYZ lathes and ProtoTRAK controls is highly advantageous
* Familiar with Fanuc or similar controls
* Open to learning CNC milling (training provided)
* Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and work to tight tolerances
* Good knowledge of tooling, materials, and CNC principles
* Strong focus on quality, health & safety
* Team player with good communication skills
The Role:
* CNC turning (main focus), with optional opportunity to train in milling
* Working on low to medium volume components
* Ensuring high levels of precision and finish
Schedule:
* Days: Monday – Thursday | 06:45–17:00
* 4-day working week
