Actio Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a well-established and expanding precision engineering company based in Rochdale. Due to continued growth, our client is seeking an experienced CNC Turner Programmer / Setter / Operator to join their machining team on a permanent day shift.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled CNC machinist with strong programming experience using Fanuc controls, looking to join a modern manufacturing environment offering long-term stability and career development.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for programming, setting and operating CNC turning machines to manufacture high-quality precision components to customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities

  * Program, set and operate CNC lathes using Fanuc controls.

  * Create, edit and optimise CNC programmes to improve efficiency and cycle times.

  * Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.

  * First-off inspections and ensure parts meet quality standards.

  * Select appropriate tooling and cutting parameters.

  * Make machine and tooling offsets as required.

  * Ensure a safe, clean and organised working environment.

Candidate Requirements

Essential

  * Proven experience as a CNC Turner Programmer / Setter / Operator.

  * Strong knowledge and experience of programming Fanuc-controlled machines.

  * Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

  * Experience manufacturing precision-engineered components.

  * Competent in the use of measuring equipment and quality inspection techniques.

  * Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.

  * Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
