CNC Turner Salary: £28,000–£36,000 + Benefits

Whether you’re setting up, programming or doing a bit of both, there’s room to develop your skills and earn more.
As a CNC Turner, you’ll be working with modern CNC machines, including 2, 3, 4, and 5-axis setups with live tooling. This isn’t repetitive work; you’ll be producing parts for sectors like aerospace, medical, and motorsport, all to tight tolerances - around 20 microns. That kind of precision means your expertise will always be in demand, and you’ll build a strong portfolio of high-spec work.
There’s also the chance to progress. If you’re currently focused on set-up and operation, you can move into programming, and if you’re already programming, you can take on more complex machining challenges. You’ll be supported with training and the tools to keep moving forward.
What you’ll do as a CNC Turner
Turn raw metal into precision parts that keep high-tech industries moving. You’ll set tools, edit programs, and run machines efficiently, making sure every job hits the mark first time. You’ll also handle a variety of materials and batch sizes, giving you a broad range of experience.

What you’ll need
Experience setting and operating or programming (depending on your level)
At least 5 years of experience as a CNC Turner or apprentice-trained
Confidence with Fanuc controls
