Job Description
CNC Turner – Programmer / Setter / Operator
Salary: Competitive hourly rate
Hours: optional hours between 39–45 hrs per week, day shift
My client are a private precision firm that designs and manufactures high-spec tooling, fixturing and complex machined parts. Their client base stretches from innovative start-ups to blue-chip names in aerospace, motorsport, agriculture and machine-tool OEMs. Recent investment in an additional 5-axis machining centre has expanded their capacity for larger, high-value parts.

Modern, climate-controlled shop with well-maintained machines.

Training and support always given as they take pride in what they do
The Role
*
Program, set and operate modern CNC lathes Fanuc based, producing complex, one-off and small-batch components.
*
Work from drawings/3-D models, choose tooling and optimise cutting parameters.
*
Carry out in-process inspection to ensure first-off and batch quality.
*
Work closely with engineering to optimise cycle times and quality.
Role Reqs
*
Solid experience setting and operating CNC turning centres.
*
Either:
1.
Strong setter/operator looking to learn programming or
2.
Fully skilled programmer, setter, operator.
*
Ability to interpret technical drawings and use gauges/CMM equipment.
*
Right to work in the UK.
Desirable
*
Live-tooling / multi-axis lathe experience.
*
CAD/CAM knowledge (helpful but not essential).
*
Familiarity with FANUC or similar controlsBefore You Apply
