CNC Turner
Location: Watford area
Shift: Monday to Thursday – 3:00pm to 1:30am (Monday to Wednesday), 3:00pm to 1:00am (Thursday)
Hours: 39.5 hours per week
Salary: £38k - £41k inc shift
Job Type: Permanent
We’re supporting a well-established precision engineering company in their search for a skilled CNC Turner to join their twilight shift team. The business specialises in high-accuracy, small-batch components across a range of sectors where quality and repeatability are paramount.
CNC Turner Responsibilities:
Set and operate 2-axis CNC lathes (Fanuc control)
Manufacture components to tight tolerances (typically ±0.025mm, occasionally ±0.0125mm)
Work from engineering drawings and production plans
Accurately record production data via the internal ERP system
Maintain housekeeping and safety standards in line with 6S principles
Participate in improvement initiatives and process optimisation
CNC Turner Experience:
Proven experience setting and operating CNC lathes with Fanuc controls
Able to work to tight tolerances on small/medium batch work
Confident working with materials such as stainless steel, aluminium, and engineering plastics
Able to interpret and edit programs where required
Capable of working independently and problem-solving on the machine
Background in aerospace, motorsport, oil & gas, or other high-precision environments preferred
