CNC Turner - Night Shift
Location: Andover
Salary: £30,000- £40,000 + 30% Shift Premium(DOE)
Hours: Mon - Wed 4.15pm-4.30am Thurs 4.15pm - 9pm
Overtime: Available
Overview
We’re working with a respected precision engineering company in Andover who are looking for an experienced CNC Turner with strong Fanuc programming skills to join their team. If you’re a detail-focused machinist who takes pride in producing top-quality components, this could be the ideal role for you.
The Role
In this position, you’ll programme, set, and operate CNC turning machines using Fanuc controls, manufacturing precision parts from a variety of materials to tight tolerances. You’ll be an important part of a skilled team, contributing to a wide range of challenging and rewarding projects.
Responsibilities
Programme, set, and operate CNC turning machines (Fanuc).
Read and work from engineering drawings and specifications.
Select and set appropriate tooling and work-holding devices.
Carry out first-off and in-process inspections.
Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area.
Work effectively both independently and within a team.
Support continuous improvement initiatives.Requirements
Proven experience as a CNC Turner.
Proficient in Fanuc programming (essential).
Able to read and interpret engineering drawings/specifications.
Experience machining a range of materials including steel, aluminium, and stainless steel.
Solid understanding of tooling selection and machining principles.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Able to work to tight tolerances.
Relevant engineering qualifications (advantageous).
