Job Type: Permanent, Days-based
Location: Aldershot, Hampshire
Salary: £18 – £21 per hour (DOE)
Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:00am – 3:30pm (flexible working hours available)

The Role
We are looking for an experienced CNC Turner Programmer to join the team. This is a hands-on role where you will be responsible for programming, setting, and operating CNC turning machines to produce high-quality components to exacting tolerances.
Key Responsibilities:
Programming, setting, and operating Dugard lathes with Fanuc controls.
Producing precision components in prototype and small-batch quantities.
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings to ensure parts meet specifications.
Working with a variety of materials including steels, alloys, and specialist metals.
Conducting in-process inspection and quality checks to maintain accuracy.
Optimising programs and machining methods to improve efficiency and minimise waste.
Collaborating with colleagues to meet deadlines and production targets.
Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment in line with health & safety standards.
The Person
The ideal candidate will be an experienced CNC Machinist with a strong background in programming and operating CNC lathes. You will be detail-oriented, methodical, and capable of working both independently and as part of a small, skilled team.
Requirements:
Proven experience in CNC turning, with programming ability using Fanuc controls (essential).
Strong engineering background with knowledge of machining principles and practices.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Experience working to tight tolerances in a precision engineering environment.
Flexible and proactive approach to problem-solving.
Commitment to producing high-quality work.
Benefits
Competitive hourly rate (£18 – £21ph DOE).
Overtime available at 1.33x rate.

Who can do this?
