Job Description
Our client, a well-established precision engineering firm with ongoing investment in people and technology, is currently looking for an experienced CNC Turner to join their growing team.
What You’ll Be Doing:
*
Working under the guidance of the Production Manager in a fast-paced machine shop environment.
*
Setting and operating CNC Lathes with Fanuc control systems.
*
Minor editing of programs when necessary – although most programming is done off-line.
*
Ensuring parts are produced to tight tolerances and exact specifications.
*
Playing an active role in promoting and maintaining Health & Safety standards.
Shift Pattern & Benefits:
*
4-day compressed workweek:
*
Monday to Wednesday: 6:00am – 4:30pm
*
Thursday: 6:00am – 3:30pm
*
Regular overtime available.
*
Holiday: 23 days + 8 statutory holidays, pro rata for the 4-day week.
*
Excellent working conditions in a clean, well-organised facility.
What We’re Looking For:
*
Minimum 5 years’ experience operating Fanuc-controlled CNC Lathes.
*
Solid understanding of machining practices and production processes.
*
Capable of working independently and setting machines from scratch.
*
Strong knowledge of cutting tools, techniques, and machining high-temperature alloys.
*
Comfortable working to tight tolerances and quality-focused standards.
*
Reliable, trustworthy, and a genuine team player with a proactive attitudeBefore You Apply
