About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced Coach Builder to join our team in Newcastle to repair and restore a fleet of buses following accidents. This role offers the chance to work in a modern facility where your skills will be crucial in maintaining vehicle safety, appearance, and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Repair and rebuild damaged bus bodies following accidents
Assess and replace damaged panels, frameworks, and structural components
Use welding, panel beating, and other coach building techniques to restore vehicles to a high standard
Work closely with the engineering and maintenance teams to coordinate repairs and ensure timely completion
Maintain accurate records of repairs and parts used
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and quality standardsRequirements:
Proven experience as a Coach Builder, preferably with bus or commercial vehicle experience
Skilled in welding, metalwork, panel beating, and structural repairs
Ability to assess damage and plan effective repair work
Attention to detail and high-quality workmanship
Good understanding of health and safety practices in a workshop environment
Ability to work both independently and as part of a teamWhat We Offer:
