Job Description
Job Title: Coded Stick Welder (SMAW)
Overview:
We are seeking experienced coded stick welders to support structural steel installation, repairs, and reinstatement works. Operatives must hold valid welding codes and be competent in Stick Welding (SMAW process), delivering high-quality welds in line with industry and site standards.
Responsibilities:
Carry out welding on structural steel, including installation, repair, and reinstatement of beams.
Work from drawings and site instructions to complete tasks accurately.
Ensure all welds meet the required quality and safety standards.
Undertake pre-weld preparation and post-weld finishing.
Comply with hot works permits and all site health & safety procedures.
Maintain tools and equipment in safe working condition.
Requirements:
Valid CSCS card (essential).
Coded qualification in Stick Welding (SMAW).
Proven site-based experience in structural steel welding.
Ability to interpret technical drawings.
Strong understanding of hot works safety and compliance.
Additional tickets (e.g. IPAF, PASMA, Fire Marshal, First Aid) advantageousBefore You Apply
