Job Description
Russell Taylor is currently recruiting for skilled Pipe Welders to join a well-established team in BD12, working for one of the industry’s top engineering companies.
This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a growing team due to exciting expansion plans.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Pipe Welder, your day-to-day duties will include (but are not limited to):
* Adhering to strict Health and Safety standards set by the company.
* Reading and interpreting working/manufacturing drawings to determine cutting measurements for both carbon and stainless-steel pipework.
* Welding to X-ray standards on stainless and mild steel materials.
* Utilizing TIG and MMA welding processes to fabricate pipework and associated fittings according to drawing specifications.
* Performing general fabrication duties across shifts as required.
* Welder experience in TIG welding on stainless steel is also considered.
* Weld testing will be conducted during the interview stage, including TIG butt welds on stainless steel (2mm wall thickness) and carbon steel (5mm wall thickness).
Essential Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you must:
* Have a proven track record of over 2 years of experience in TIG and MMA pipe welding with stainless steel and mild steel. OR
* Hold the necessary qualifications, be time-served, and have relevant experience in TIG welding within a similar engineering environment.
Additional Information:
* Day shifts available.
* Overtime paid after 37.5 hours worked (time and a half, double time on Sundays).
