Position : Combat Systems Maintainer
Job Type: Contract
Rate: £60 / Outside IR35
Location: Portsmouth (Full Time)
Duration: 6 months
Avanti Recruitment is seeking a Combat Systems Maintainer to support a high-tech naval training facility. You’ll play a key role in maintaining, troubleshooting, and ensuring operational readiness of complex combat system equipment used in simulation and training environments.
Required:
* Maintain and support simulated combat systems
* Fault-finding, diagnostics, and system setup
* Keep systems operational to meet daily training demand
* Liaise with engineers, trainers, and stakeholders
* Royal Navy or defence sector background (submarine or surface fleet)
Desirable
* Simulator or training environment experience
* Background as a CPO, Ops Room Engineer, or Sensors Group Head
