The ideal candidate is an experienced Control & Combustion Engineer with strong hands‑on technical capability and proven front‑line supervisory experience within a medium to heavy manufacturing environment would be advantageous. They are equally comfortable operating as a technical subject matter expert and a supervising people with the ability to manage safety‑critical systems while maintaining high standards of plant availability, compliance, and performance.
They possess a solid foundation in electrical and control engineering, complemented by practical experience of combustion systems and furnace operations. The role requires an individual who is confident working on the tools alongside technicians when required, particularly during fault finding, breakdowns, and planned maintenance activities.
Qualifications & Experience
Advantageous experience:
Relevant qualification such as NVQ, HNC/HND, C&G or apprentice trained
Background or experience in:
Control engineering
Combustion systems
Furnace operationsEssential Experience
