Combustion Engineer – Overview
We are working with a leading manufacturer, installer and service provider of industrial process heating solutions with a rich history of over 65 years in operation and a worldwide brand. They specialise in supplying and servicing steam boilers, industrial boilers, thermal fluid heaters, hot water systems, and advanced environmental technologies. They are currently looking for a Combustion Engineer to join their service engineering team in the South West area covering Swindon, Bristol, Taunton and surrounding areas.
From turnkey projects to long-term service support, they help industries across the UK reduce costs, improve efficiency, and maximise their operations. As a Combustion Engineer on the service team, you will attend service and breakdown visits at sites across the patch including factories, Hospitals, manufacturing sites, Breweries and many others to service, maintain and repair steam boilers, industrial boilers, thermal fluid heaters, hot water systems, burners and other systems within the main plant rooms. The company have fantastic in house training and they can give you full training on anything you haven’t worked on before.
Your patch is strictly the ‘South West’ area and you can expect to travel a maximum of 2 hours away from home. Very, very rarely, they may ask you to spend a night away but they prefer to keep everyone regional. If ever you do have a night away, you will get a hotel + £63 sustenance.
There is no out of hours call out rota for the role either so no requirement to be on standby.
Combustion Engineer – Requirements
* ACS Commercial Gas tickets
* Full UK Licence
* Electrical experience would be a bonus
Combustion Engineer – Salary & Remuneration
* Salary range between £41,000 - £45,000 + Door to Door (OTE £55K+)
* Company Van or Car - Car is equivalent to the Golf Estate, Van a Peugeot Partner or equivalent
* Door to Door Travel Pay
* Overtime @ 1.3x in week, 2x weekend and BH + £32 bonus if you work a weekend day
* 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays (33 total)
* Full Sick Pay – accrued at 1 day per month in first year then full sick pay after
* Specialist Tools, Tablet, Mobile, Laptop
* 12% Pension Scheme - 6% employee and 6% from the company
* Staying away allowance (Very, very rare) - Hotel booked and £63 allowance
* No Call Out Rota at allBefore You Apply
