Commercial Account Handler/Executive
£35,000 – £40,000 | Peterborough | Permanent
We’re working with a well-established independent insurance broker in Peterborough who are looking for a knowledgeable and motivated Commercial Account Handler/Executive to take ownership of a portfolio of SME to mid-sized clients across a variety of sectors.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone confident in renewals, re-broking, and servicing, with the chance to strengthen existing client relationships and contribute to new business growth through referrals — without the need for cold calling.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and develop a portfolio of commercial clients, handling renewals, MTAs, and day-to-day queries
Re-market policies and negotiate with insurers to secure competitive terms and coverage
Advise clients on appropriate cover across a variety of commercial lines, including property, liability, motor, and packages
Ensure all client documentation is accurate, compliant, and delivered to a high standard
Build and maintain trusted relationships with both clients and underwriters
The Ideal Candidate:
Proven experience as a Commercial Account Handler or Executive in the insurance sector
Strong technical knowledge across a range of commercial insurance products
Confident communicator with excellent client relationship skills
Skilled negotiator with insurers to deliver the best outcomes
Organised, professional, and committed to delivering excellent service
Cert CII qualified or working towards (desirable but not essential)Package:
Competitive salary: £35,000 – £40,000 depending on experience
