Commercial Account Handler - Sheffield (Hybrid)

Hybrid working: 2 days from home

This role has come about due to a change in the team, and the brokerage is now looking for an experienced Commercial Account Handler to step in and take ownership of an established book of business.

You would be inheriting a well-looked-after commercial portfolio, broadly spread across multiple policy types rather than focused on one class. Depending on experience, the book sits around £1.5m to £2m GWP. The clients are established, the work is steady, and the expectation is simply to look after them properly.

What You'll Be Walking Into

A settled commercial team that values experience, accuracy, and doing things the right way. You will work closely with Account Executives, supporting them with renewals, MTAs, and day-to-day client servicing, while being trusted to manage your own workload and relationships.

This is not a high-pressure or overly sales-driven environment. The focus is on retention, service, and maintaining strong client relationships. Hybrid working is in place, but the team is office-led and collaborative.

You will need experience in a similar commercial account handling role and a good understanding of commercial insurance products. Acturis experience would be helpful, but it is not essential if you are confident technically. Support is available for professional development, including CII, if that is something you want to continue with.

This role will suit someone who enjoys having responsibility for their own clients, values stability, and wants to be part of a business that knows what it does well.
