About The Company
A leading power infrastructure and utilities company are offering a recession proof opportunity for a Commercial Administrator to join their team. This business turnover £100m as a group, and work to construct and maintain overhead power lines, windfarm connections and substations across the UK. This is a growing business with a proven ability to train and promote from within.
This role would suit an experienced Administrator from a construction or utilities background, or a post graduate looking to start their career, and potentially progress into a Quantity Surveying position in the future.
About the Role
As a Commercial Administrator, you will look after the general maintenance of commercial information. You will run daily reports to produce invoices, manage and log incoming subcontractor invoices and produce weekly accrual sheets. The role will see you process subcontractor payments; submitting them to the accounts team, and provide general support to the commercial team.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with the submission of contract variations to the client
• Assist with monthly applications for payments to the client
• Log and manage incoming subcontractor invoices
• Produce weekly accrual sheets to submit to Finance team
• Produce Subcontract Payment Certificates and submit for payment
• Be willing to learn and assist the commercial team with day-to-day operations
• Maximise the efficiency of reporting techniques/systems
