Commercial Catering Engineer

Location: Guildford, Surrey (High-End Properties Across Surrey)
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
Salary: Up to £50,000
Benefits: Company Van & Fuel Card

The Role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Commercial Catering Engineer to work across high-end properties throughout Surrey.

This role involves the installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial kitchen equipment, ensuring all systems operate safely, efficiently, and in line with industry standards. You will be responsible for both planned and reactive maintenance, fault finding, and supporting installations.

Key Responsibilities

  * Carry out installation, servicing, and repair of commercial catering equipment

  * Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive breakdown work

  * Work on equipment including:

      * ranges, ovens, stock pots, fryers

      * hot cupboards, hot plates, Chinese woks

      * rational ovens (desirable)

  * Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs

  * Source and order parts and materials as required

  * Complete job sheets, reports, and certification (paper or electronic)

  * Provide technical support and ensure high service standards

  * Work alongside and oversee contractors on-site when required

  * Follow all health & safety regulations, COSHH, and company procedures

  * Maintain a professional approach when working in high-end environments

Requirements

  * Gas Safe Certified – CCCN1 (essential)

  * COMCAT 1–5 and/or CODC1 qualifications

  * NVQ Level 3 / Apprenticeship in a relevant discipline (preferred)

  * Strong knowledge of natural gas & LPG appliances

  * Proven experience as a Commercial Catering Engineer

  * Ability to carry out fault finding, repairs, and installations

  * Good understanding of health & safety and building regulations

  * Ability to complete reports and documentation accurately

  * Full UK Driving Licence (clean)
