Job Description

About the Role: As a Commercial Contracts Manager, you will manage the full lifecycle of domestic commercial contracts, from negotiation and execution to delivery and closeout. You will play a vital role in supporting strategic business objectives, ensuring compliance, mitigating risk, and contributing to winning new work within a complex defence environment. Key Responsibilities: Lead negotiation of contract terms and conditions, ensuring alignment with business objectives Manage the full Route to Contract, including bid preparation, proposal generation, and contract agreement Oversee contract delivery, amendments, renewals, and closeout, ensuring obligations are met Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies, including MoD standards Identify contractual risks and develop mitigation strategies Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders on contractual matters Provide regular updates and reporting to senior management on contract status and risks Manage and resolve contract disputes in collaboration with legal and other relevant teams What We're Looking For: Proven experience in commercial contract management within a defence environment Experience drafting, negotiating, and agreeing contracts and agreements Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working with cross-functional teams Familiarity with MoD contracting structures (DEFCONs, QDCs) is preferredWhat We Offer: Salary: Circa £63,000-£68,000 depending on experience Company Bonus: Up to 21% of base salary Pension: Up to 14% total contribution (employer + employee) Flexible working: 2-3 days per week on-site with hybrid arrangements Enhanced parental leave: Up to 26 weeks for maternity, adoption, shared parental leave, with additional enhancements for paternity, neonatal leave, and fertility support Site facilities: Subsidised meals, free car parking, and more Next Steps: For this role you will have to gain UK Security Clearance; therefore, we cannot process your application unless you currently hold British Nationality as a minimum qualification.
