Commercial Electrician- Derbyshire- £38,000- £46,000
Commercial Electrician Package Overview:
* £38,000 – £46,000 per annum depending on experience

* Full-time, field-based, Monday to Friday

Company Overview – Commercial Electrician
A reputable and well-established company is seeking a Commercial Electrician to join its team. The company works across commercial and domestic sectors, completing projects in residential properties, offices, retail spaces, schools, and light industrial units.
Role Responsibilities – Commercial Electrician
* Carry out EICRs, Minor Works, and Installation Certificates in line with current wiring regulations (BS 7671)
* Perform Portable Appliance Testing (PAT)
* Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems including lighting, power, heating systems, and safety controls
* Approx. 70% testing (EICRs, PAT) / 30% installation, maintenance, repair
* Ensure all work meets relevant safety, building regulations, and company quality standards
* Commission electrical systems and carry out field-based service and maintenance tasks
* Attend call-outs as required
* Liaise professionally with clients, contractors, and other trades on-site
* Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used, and time spent
* Adhere to company health and safety policies and safe working practices
Required Skills & Experience – Commercial Electrician
* NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Installing Electrotechnical Systems and Equipment (Buildings, Structures, and the Environment) or equivalent
* City & Guilds 2382-18 (18th Edition Wiring Regulations)
* City & Guilds 2391/2394/2395 (Inspection & Testing)
* EICRs, Minor Works, Installation Certificates
* PAT testing experience
* Electrical fault-finding, diagnosis, installation, and maintenance
* Full UK driving licence
* Willingness to travel within North West region, including some occasional overnight stays
* Strong practical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities
Preferred but Not Essential:
* City & Guilds 2377 (In-Service Inspection of Electrical Equipment)
* ECS/CSCS card or equivalent
* Experience in EV charger installations, solar PV, or other renewable energy technologies
* Experience with fire alarms, security systems, and CCTV
