Job Description

A growing privately owned maintenance company is seeking an experienced Commercial Engineer. The role involves managing heating, plumbing, and communal services across residential flats, sheltered accommodation, and plant rooms. The engineer will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving faults, maintaining high standards, and ensuring compliance with all regulations. Key Responsibilities: * Maintain and repair communal heating and water systems in residential flats and sheltered accommodation * Attend plant rooms as required to service communal systems * Diagnose faults, source parts, and carry out repairs efficiently and to a high standard * Ensure compliance with all current regulations and safety standards * Maintain clear communication with residents, clients, and colleagues Requirements: * Proven experience as a commercial engineer in residential or commercial environments * Comfortable working in flats, sheltered accommodation, and plant rooms * Strong knowledge of communal heating systems and radiator issues * Relevant commercial engineering qualifications (City & Guilds or equivalent) * Must be willing to cover London and the Home Counties * Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload Salary & Benefits: * £52,000–£55,000 per annum, depending on experience * OTE - £60,000 - £65,000k * 23 days holiday plus Bank Holidays * Paid travel: 30 minutes each way, home to first job and last job to home * Callout rota: 1 in 4 * Standby: £35 per day * Callout: £35 per visit, plus travel paid door-to-door Additional Information: Competitive salary with travel allowances.
