Job Description

I am seeking a meticulous and commercially minded Estimator to prepare quotations for a busy manufacturing organisation based in Radstock.

Job Title: Estimator

Location: Radstock

Contract: Permanent

Salary: £30,000.00 - £55,000.00 DOE

The successful candidate will play a vital role in assessing projects costs, preparing accurate estimates and provide solid support to the Estimating Manager and Technical Estimator. Previous experience in the construction / manufacturing industries is ideal and familiarity with detailed drawing call offs.

You will collaborate closely with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to deliver accurate estimates while providing an exceptional level of service.

Key Responsibilities:

  * Maintain database records and manage all enquiries and quotations from customers and suppliers

  * Prepare and produce material take-offs and estimates from drawings, specifications and bill of quantities

  * Communicate confidently with the design and engineering team

  * Issue price enquiries to external suppliers and subcontractors

  * Ability to use a CRM system

  * Assist in maintaining estimating software, price lists and pricing documentation

  * Ensure accurate filing of estimates, correspondence and other important information

To be considered:

  * Previous experience within a construction / manufacturing environment

  * Strong administration skills

  * Excellent communication skills

  * Ability to work independently

  * Previous estimating experience essential
