Job Description

Commercial Administrator – A47 (Near Honingham, Norwich) £16.50 per hour plus 12 percent holiday pay (PAYE) 42.5 hours per week | Monday to Friday | Site based with occasional work from home if needed You may have seen this role advertised before Just to be clear, this is not due to churn. The A47 programme is expanding and the commercial team needs additional support to stay ahead of the workload. It is genuine growth within a Tier 1 contractor delivering a major highways upgrade near Honingham. The Role This is a Commercial Administrator position supporting the commercial team with day to day cost and finance related administration. A big part of the role is helping the team manage a monthly spend of around £300,000 by keeping invoices, purchase orders and cost trackers accurate and up to date. It is a grown up, sensible working environment. Core hours are 8 to 5 with flexibility. Some people start or finish slightly earlier or work through lunch. The key point is that the work is completed to a good standard and deadlines are met. The role is primarily site based in Honingham, but the team is reasonable about the occasional work from home day if you need it. What They Are Looking For A steady, experienced administrator with good exposure to finance or cost related work. Someone who is confident handling numbers, systems and documentation. To give an idea of what works well, people already in the team have come from structured admin, finance admin and compliance backgrounds. Experienced finance professionals can do the role, but equally a strong administrator who has regularly dealt with invoices, POs or cost systems would be a great fit. Ideally they are looking for someone with around 15 years plus experience in an administrative or finance support role.
