Job Description

We’re looking for a qualified Commercial Gas Engineer to join on of our clients who are expanding team. You’ll be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and installation of commercial gas systems across various client sites. The role combines PPM, reactive callouts, and support for small works and refurb projects.

Key Responsibilities

  * Carry out Installation, service, maintenance, and repair of commercial gas appliances and heating systems (e.g. boilers, heaters, pipework)

  * Diagnose faults and complete reactive repairs

  * Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across commercial premises

  * Support small works projects such as boiler replacements, upgrades, and minor installations

  * Ensure compliance with current gas safety regulations and company procedures

  * Complete job sheets and service records accurately

  * Liaise with clients and provide a high level of customer service

Requirements

  * Current Commercial Gas Qualifications (e.g. CODNCO1, CIGA1, CORT1, ICPN1, TPCP1A)

  * NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Mechanical Engineering or Plumbing & Heating (or equivalent)

  * Experience in a commercial building maintenance environment

  * Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics

  * Full UK driving licence (for mobile role)

  * Strong fault-finding skills and the ability to work independently

Desirable (Not Essential)

  * Domestic Gas Qualifications (CCN1 etc.)

  * Unvented Hot Water Certification

  * Awareness of small works and refurbishment processes

  * Valid CSCS card
