Job Description

COMMERCIAL GAS ENGINEERCOMPANY OVERVIEWOur client is a well-established, nationwide leader within the Construction and Facilities Management sector. They are now seeking an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to join their Edinburgh-based team, working across Public Sector and Commercial Office contracts.

JOB RESPONSBILITIES

Service and maintain commercial heating systems and boilers
Install, diagnose, and repair heating systems and domestic hot and cold water systems
Install heating plant, domestic water plant, and water heaters
Carry out pipework installation for water, gas, air, and associated systems
Operate press-fit tools
Complete reactive repairs and planned preventative maintenance
Work collaboratively with other trades on-site
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and building standards
Complete job reports and associated documentation accurately
Prepare material lists and support apprentices when required
Participate in the on-call rota to provide emergency support
Undertake additional duties in line with business requirements

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Plumbing
Valid Commercial Gas Qualifications: COCN1, CIGA1, CDGA1, CORT1, ICPN1A
LPG qualification (desirable)
OFTEC 101, 105E & 600A (desirable)
Unvented Hot Water Storage certification
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
Good understanding of health and safety procedures
Professional and customer-focused approach
Strong communication and reporting skills
Full UK Driving Licence

SALARY & BENEFITS

£40,000 – £45,000 basic salary (ote £50,000 +)
25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays
Company van and fuel card
Pension scheme
Core working hours: 8:00am – 4:30pm (30-minute lunch break)
On-call rota
Overtime available
