Job Description
Job Title: Mobile Commercial Gas Engineer
Pay: up to £52,000
Location: Field-based - Covering Aberdeenshire and surrounding areas in North-East Scotland
Postcodes Covered: AB, PH, DD
We are currently seeking an experienced Mobile Commercial Gas Engineer to join our team, covering a range of commercial properties across the North-East of Scotland. This is a mobile role with a focus on maintenance, repair, and compliance across client sites.
Key Responsibilities:
* Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive tasks on commercial gas systems and associated equipment.
* Complete all necessary paperwork and digital reports accurately and on time.
* Conduct fabric maintenance and basic electrical tasks as required under contract.
* Ensure all work is completed in line with current legislative standards and health & safety regulations.
* Participate in the on-call rota (1 in 4)to provide out-of-hours support to clients.
* Support colleagues when required and assist with supervision of sub-contractors, ensuring high standards of work and safety compliance.
* Identify and communicate remedial work requirements and assist in quoting and sourcing information for additional works.
* Issue Permits to Work and manage escort duties and small works where necessary.
Skills & Experience Required:
* Qualified to City & Guilds Level II/III or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
* Proven experience in commercial gas maintenance, testing, and fault finding, including work on boiler plant, pumps, ventilation, and control systems.
* Competence in basic electrical and general building services tasks.
* Strong understanding of health & safety practices and safe systems of work.
* Ability to work independently, use handheld technology effectively, and manage time efficiently across multiple sites.
